The Sun Does Shine

So I guess there is a snowball in heck about now. Something great has happened to my family lately and I thought I would write a quick note about it.

Janelle's Health

So as anyone who knows us is aware Janelle does not have what you would call "perfect" health. As a matter of fact she does not even have "mediocre" health. Her health for the past 8 years would best be described as harrowing! The last 12 months have been especially bad with at least on major infection and 4, yes that is a 4, surgeries.

You might imagine this makes for a bit of difficulty with the whole enjoying life thing. While that is true to some extent there has still been a lot of joy in our home this last year. We still have three beautiful children, who handled this all quite well I might add. We are still married for eternity and we have had incredible amounts of support from both of our families. This tend to make it hard to feel to let down with the cards life has dealt you.

So the big news this is all leading up to is that Janelle has been perfectly healthy for three whole weeks now!! That may not seem like much but it is the first three weeks straight that we can say that (in the last 12 months). Needless to say that while we were well taken care of during the other months it is still nice to have her healthy. I guess I can think of it as an early Christmas present. I can't think of one that would have made me happier.

So ends my biennial post. Keep checking back daily for the next installment.

This should be first

I guess I should have explained my title first. This is my favorite phrase and my wife ABSOLUTELY hates it when I say it. So of course I used it here cause why be married if you cannot "flick her ear" once in a while? I will use A LOT of private jokes in this blog (if I ever post) so if you do not understand don't feel bad. You are welcome to ask and I might be able to fill you in.

Anyone who knows me...

So anyone who knows me (who actually finds this blog) will know that I will almost never (see also: a snowballs chance in "heck") post on this blog. "So why even create it then?" you ask. Let me first ask this what is the sound of one hand clapping? Once you can post that here (the sound not the answer) I will answer your question.
